A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of giving a talk to 100+ executive women at the beautiful Hacienda de los Morales in Mexico City. We had a candid discussion about realities that women face in the workplace and the challenges we face as we progress in the various organizations where we work at. We also talked about “other” topics – many times silent in these type of events: our realities as mothers, wives, single women with personal interests and life dynamics outside of the content of the workplace; all of those “other” things that make us the women we are.
I shared life experiences and stories illustrating the dimensions of our WDignity model© LOVE | MIND | SPIRIT | BODY | driving our continual quest for balance, in the permanent cycle of transformational growth, guiding our decisions and principles for priority-setting as we move along in life …
Corporations who value diverse talent, understand that their female employees live through these dimensions. They are interested in attracting, developing and retaining women who are seeking and choosing opportunities for further development.
The participants were engaged in serious dialogue, the event was successful and since then I have been receiving many positive messages, phone calls, great feedback notes with excellent comments.
I would like to once again thank the “Asociacion de Mujeres Ejecutivas” (Association of Executive Women) and the “Consejo de Empresarias y Ejecutivas” (Women Executives and Entrepreneurs Council) for the organization of this great event. My gratitude as well to Element Financial Corporation Mexico Women’s Network for the several publications endorsing it since then.
