Child development specialists say we start making choices as babies, with a look or a subtle body move.
As we grow up, learn new things and have life experiences, all sorts of content is placed in the four dimensions of our life: LOVE | MIND | SPIRIT | BODY; our “internal mechanism” to reason, discern and choose is fueled accordingly. We go along making choices constantly, as we move on in life …
In some cases, adult women make poor choices with respect to their human dignity because they lacked high quality guidance, content, role models or references in earlier years of their lives. The content that fed their dimensions required more than what they received or needed something different than what they processed. Or worse yet, other women think they are making great choices and end up “empty” at a point in their life without knowing where to go next … As we know, backgrounds, stories and experiences vary and aspects of them can be “complicated”. Each woman is unique with a particular mission in life and a certain set of assumptions to proceed.
We care deeply about women and their ability to make good choices; we help women assess where they are at a certain point and what might be next for them to address as they move forward.
In September, we started a new program: WDignity-Girls.
The program has a fall/winter term and a late-winter/spring term, each with monthly talks & workshops. At our meetings, we provide content aligned with the WDignity Model ©.
Our goal is to reach women at earlier stages in their lives and create awareness on LOVE | MIND | SPIRIT | BODY - as dimensions of their lives in which they will have to address challenges to find balance and to unlock their true potential.
The format is:
• MIND & SPIRIT: a talk with quality content for both dimensions of the WDignity Model ©
• LOVE: a craft project for fun, developing friendships and a sense of belonging
• BODY: a community service event where - among other activities - the craft project is delivered
Our Alliance is growing geographically and across generational groups!
