Women and their Fathers

Talking about super-heroes: That’s what a woman thinks of her dad, when he happens to truly be a FATHER.

There are unfortunately many women who are denied the gift of a father, there is a biological connection, but nothing more. A Father is this “wonderful” man who though not “perfect” is present in her life, who she knows she can count on, who has been / is / and will be / there for her when needed the most to be a mentor, a friend, a guide.

When he truly steps-into a FATHER role (whether he is biological, adopted, spiritual or paternal figure) in her life, she experiences the immense privilege of knowing what it is like to be loved, protected and cared by a man who loves her unconditionally. Her emotional security and self-confidence are nurtured and strengthened.

A father is a critically important person in her life. He is the first man with whom she experiences love and trust, her assumptions on how to relate to the world are often times modeled after his guidelines. Her father’s support and encouragement – from when she is a little girl, all the way to womanhood – give her strength beyond herself to seek higher standards, to achieve greater goals.

Throughout human history there have been courageous women who with or without a father have achieved great things, many of them – because they had a great father – were able to go beyond imagined grounds.

We believe in the possibility of a better world for the greater good, such world needs confident women and Fathers who have the courage to step up to the role, if you are one of them: Congratulations!
